Advocacy

A critical function of the Michigan Association of Endocrinologists is to provide the means of connecting our members with their lawmakers. MAE works closely with legislators to communicate,  educate and engage the issues that are most important to endocrinologists and our patients.

In addition, MAE works closely with the Michigan State Medical Society on issues that affect all physicians in the state. The MSMS Action Center, Engage, gives users access to an editable, prefilled web-form letter sending system, which has become the easiest and most effective way for constituents to contact their lawmakers, making them “virtual lobbyists.”
